Well halloween has been and gone.Next up,Thanksgiving!Oh my,this time of year is such fun but it seems to go a mile a minute and come January 1st, we are left spinning in our spot wondering where on earth the past year went. This year I am determined to soak it all in more.Make it more enjoyable for everyone.(this means me and Papa too) I am sure that with this economic unrest we are not the only ones scaling it back,A.LOT.Though to be quite honest,I am glad.I don't want my babes growing up thinking that christmas = I want,I want,I want.I would like to bring the focus back to family, fun,a few treats, sharing and caring.More on that later in the month but for now here are some picture from our evening.
Waiting to go trick or treating.
Sneaky fingers.
Off to save the world from too much sugar!
Extremely bored of all Mummy's photo taking and trying hard (not that hard) not to show it!!
Do you know how many people called Oliver a cow!!! Dalmation my friends, dalmation!!
Stuffing his bag with leaves.
Isabella has the royal wave down pat!
Cheeky chops
I stayed at home and waited for the hoards of ghouls and goblins to come and empty the basket.Boy did they empty it!!
When Papa and the babes returned I gently reminded them of our friend the candy witch. The babes each choose twelve pieces of candy from their bags(one a month until the next sugar fest)and then they hang the bags on the door for the candy witch. The candy witch comes and takes the rest of the candy, she then flies around the world sprinkling it on the houses of the children who are less fortunate than ourselves. To thank my babes she leaves a little treat (this year it was a little dinosaur each for the boys and a playmobil person for Isabella and her collection) in their bags so that they don't come down to empty bags.Generally they are so engaged in playing with their new treat that the candy is a distant memory. It works for us:0)
I hope that you all had a fun and safe halloween.
